Kirstine began working in private practice before establishing Highett Podiatry in 1997.
With a wealth of over 20 years clinical experience, Kirstine has invested in building her practice to become a successful and advanced podiatry clinic, offering a breadth of trusted experience in all aspects of podiatry.
With a love of dance and supporting her daughter Imogen in ballet, Kirstine has followed her passion for the arts by training as a Cecchetti ballet teacher. This has evolved into developing a special interest in both children's foot and ankle care and dance injury management. Kirstine offers comprehensive pre-pointe assessments.
Kirstine is a very nurturing practitioner and has developed a method of care that is both beneficial and supportive for all paediatric patients. She is committed to ensuring her younger patients and their parents are educated through every step of the treatment plan to help them make informed decisions.
Time spent outside the practice, you will find Kirstine enjoying netball, softball, dance and hockey.

With both an Undergraduate and Masters education under her belt, Michaela brings a high level of dedication to advanced podiatric care at Highett Podiatry.
Michaela’s key areas of focus are high-risk feet including chronic wound care, diabetes and sports medicine. With over 14 years of private practice experience and 8 years of high risk Diabetic podiatry in public hospitals, her knowledge is invaluable to our patients.
Outside of practising, she enjoys an outdoors lifestyle of swimming, walking and holidaying at the beach with family and friends.

Felicity’s clients are always impressed with her holistic approach to her treatment with a strong emphasis on preventative care. With close to 30 years of experience, Felicity is a highly skilled podiatrist with special interests in paediatrics, biomechanics, orthotic prescription, footwear review and advice.
Having trained in acupuncture and joint mobilisation, Felicity can apply a wide range of techniques effective for pain relief and empowering the body to facilitate rehabilitation for long-term health.
Her leisure time is spent enjoying creative writing and reading, balanced with yoga and Eastern philosophies.

With a strong interest in sports podiatry, Ed's insightful experience in advanced biomechanics of the lower limbs sees him treating all sports-related conditions and injuries. His extensive knowledge ensures patients are managed across three key areas: Analysis, Prevention and Therapy.
Ed has experience in aged care podiatry and uses therapy techniques including dry needling, foot mobilisation, muscle testing and strengthening as part of a well-rounded approach to his podiatry care and treatment.
A talented sportsman, Ed is a dynamo, playing in the VFL league for Port Melbourne and shares an equal passion for all sports and travel.

Following Simon’s completion of his undergraduate Podiatry degree at LaTrobe University, he moved to the United Kingdom to undertake a Masters Degree (MSc) in Podiatry at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.
With an international career spanning 9 years, Simon has worked for the National Health Service (NHS) at Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Hospitals and consulted privately at South West Podiatry in London.
During his time at the NHS, Simon was the Clinical Lead for Podiatric Biomechanics. He was responsible for a team of podiatrists specialising in running injuries, complex foot and ankle problems, as well as providing assistance to the podiatric surgical team. Each year his team consulted on over 8,000 of the most complex cases with referrals from all over London.
In 2014, Simon returned to Melbourne with his young family and we welcome him to Highett Podiatry.

Sophie graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science in 2013 and went on to complete her Masters in Podiatry Practice in 2016. During that time, she worked across both the public and private health sectors before joining Highett Podiatry in 2017.
Sophie has also undertaken training in taping, dry needling, as well as time spent at the Australian Ballet in workshops focused on the lower limb and pre-pointe.
Extending her personal interest of years of classical and theatrical dancing, Sophie is currently study her diploma with the Commonwealth Society of Teachers Dancing. By combining her passion with study, her knowledge in the demands of the body and lower limbs in dancers is highly valuable to our clinic.
Outside of her podiatry work, you won’t see Sophie sitting down much! Her love of dancing and marathon kayaking also includes coaching in these disciplines, making her a well-rounded and vibrant asset to our team.

Maggie is a credentialed Diabetes Educator who has been working in diabetes education for over 10 years.
Her services are designed to help people with diabetes gain knowledge and the skills to manage their diabetes and wellbeing. She is passionate about providing professional care and evidence-based diabetes education to teens (age 17+) and adults living with diabetes.
Services offered include:

- Insulin commencement and ongoing management
- Gestational diabetes - education and ongoing management
- Insulin pump therapy education including pump preparation, upgrades, new pump starts and
- ongoing management and education
- Blood glucose calculator meters - to assist with managing insulin when counting

- Continuous Glucose Monitoring – both blinded and real time
