The Team Is Back & Refreshed
January flew by, and we’re feeling refreshed and ready for the year ahead with the full team back in the clinic.
Sophie swapped thongs for snow boots on a European winter escape with her husband James and baby Paige, Lisa and Kate both popped over to Adelaide, and Katrina squeezed in a sunny Bali getaway.
We farewelled Katrina Richards last week as she stepped into her exciting new role as Head of Podiatry at Monash Health. Huge congratulations to her!
And if you remember from last month’s newsletter, Anureet was planning a return to New Zealand… It turns out Australia had other ideas. We’re thrilled she’s staying on!
Sophie is also back consulting at our Mentone clinic, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that Christina may come out of retirement in the near future.
As always, our Allied Health Assistants Daniel and Aaron are available for simple, low-risk foot care, including nail care, corns and calluses, at a reduced cost.
Not sure if that’s the right option for you? Give us a call on 9555 3044 and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Highett Podiatry is the proud sponsor of the Aspendale Life Saving Club
At Highett Podiatry, community isn’t just a word — it’s something we actively stand behind. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to sponsor Aspendale Life Saving Club, a cornerstone of beach safety and community spirit along our local coastline.
Run entirely by volunteers, Aspendale Life Saving Club is powered by passion, dedication, and a shared commitment to keeping others safe. With more than 500 members and 200 Nippers, the club plays a vital role in educating the next generation about surf safety, teamwork, and resilience.
From November through to April, volunteer patrols are on the beach every Saturday and Sunday, quietly doing the important work that allows families, swimmers, and beachgoers to enjoy the water with confidence. Beyond patrols, the club’s 30-strong competition team proudly represents Aspendale at surf carnivals across Victoria, including the Victorian State Championships, showcasing skill, discipline, and club pride.
We’re honoured to support an organisation that gives so much of itself — not for recognition, but for the safety and wellbeing of the community. Thank you to the volunteers, athletes, and families who make Aspendale Life Saving Club what it is. We’re proud to stand beside you.
Highett Podiatry gets involved in the local community

At Highett Podiatry, giving back to our community isn’t something we do occasionally — it’s part of who we are. For many years, we’ve proudly supported the local clubs, groups, and organisations that bring people together and help our community thrive.
We’ve had the privilege of sponsoring a range of grassroots sporting clubs, including the Minties Netball Club, Southern Saints Football Club, and Dingley Junior Football Club. These partnerships reflect our belief in the power of community sport — building confidence, resilience, teamwork, and lifelong healthy habits both on and off the field.

Looking ahead to 2026, we’re excited to further expand our community support by sponsoring two additional community or sporting clubs. If you’re involved in a local club and would like to explore sponsorship opportunities, we’d love to hear from you and see how we can support the great work you’re doing.

Our commitment extends well beyond sport. We are proud supporters of local, national, and international charities, as well as kindergartens and schools, including The Les Twentyman Foundation, The Fiji Book Drive, and Bread Tags for Wheelchairs – organisations making a genuine difference in people’s lives.
We also believe in supporting our community through education and early intervention. Highett Podiatry offers complimentary kinder screenings to local kindergartens at no cost to families, provides injury screening and support for sporting clubs, and regularly delivers presentations to local community groups to help improve foot health awareness and injury prevention.
Supporting our community, on the field, in the classroom, and beyond, is something we truly believe in, and we’re proud to continue this journey alongside the people and organisations that make our community so special.
