🎄 Christmas Holiday Hours at Highett Podiatry 🎄

The festive season is just around the corner! As the year winds down, we’d like to thank all our patients for their ongoing support and trust throughout 2025. It’s been a busy and rewarding year, and our team is looking forward to a well-earned break with family and friends.

Your annual Christmas pen is ready for pickup throughout November and December. As always, it is our way of saying thank you for your patronage throughout 2025.

We’ll be remaining open throughout the Christmas and New Year period. However, please note that we’ll be operating with limited staff during this time. Appointment availability may be reduced, so we encourage you to book early if you require treatment, orthotic adjustments, or any last-minute foot care before the holidays.

Our closure dates are as follows:

  • Christmas Day – Wednesday, 25 December 2025
  • Boxing Day – Thursday, 26 December 2025
  • New Year’s Day – Wednesday, 1 January 2025

All other days, we’ll be open for business as usual (with some adjusted hours).

If you’re heading away over the break, remember to pack your orthotics, wear supportive footwear, and keep up your foot care routine—your feet will thank you for it!

From all of us at Highett Podiatry, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May your holidays be filled with relaxation, good company, and comfortable shoes!

If you’d like to schedule an appointment before the festive rush, please call us on 95553044 or book online.

Stay safe and enjoy the season!

Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal

This year, we’re proud to support the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal, Australia’s largest and longest-running Christmas gift collection program. The appeal helps bring joy to individuals and families who may be experiencing hardship during the festive season. With the cost of living rising and many households doing it tough, even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference.

Taking part is simple. When you visit or pop in to either of our clinics in Highett and Mentone, bring along a gift that you feel would brighten someone’s Christmas—this could be a toy for a child, a book, a personal care item, or something practical for an adult or senior. Attach a Wishing Tree tag (available at reception) to your gift, indicating the appropriate age group, and place it under the store’s Wishing Tree. We are happy to wrap it for you too.

All donations are distributed through charity partners who ensure gifts reach people who need them most, including children, families, older adults and those facing social or financial challenges.

By giving a little, you can help someone feel seen, valued, and supported this Christmas. Together, we can share the joy and make the season brighter for our community.

Daniel Mikael as Podiatry Allied Health Assistant

Daniel Mikael has been with us for the last few months, getting ready to officially start his role as our “Podiatry Allied Health Assistant” in 2026.

What is an “Allied Health Assistant?”

At Highett Podiatry, we engage the services of an AHA to allow our patients access to podiatry services at a reduced cost.

Our AHA’s are about to embark on the final year of their 4-year university degree in Podiatry, and are trained and equipped to provide general foot care to “Low Risk” patients, assist our qualified podiatrists with soft tissue therapy application, issuing of orthotics and dressing changes.

If you would like to be seen by AHA for your next podiatric general treatment, please let our receptionist know at the time of your next appointment.

Bayside-Kingston Prostate Cancer Support Group

Thank you to the Bayside-Kingston Prostate Cancer Support Group for inviting us to present at their October Group meeting. Congratulations to the winner of our door prize, Mike Watson, who received a brand-new pair of Brooks Adrenaline runners to keep him supported and on his feet.

Introducing Clinch Boots: Where Innovation Meets Performance

We’re proud to unveil the next step in football footwear — Clinch Boots, a brand built on precision engineering, comfort, and a passion for performance. Designed and manufactured with athletes in mind, Clinch Boots deliver the perfect balance of power, agility, and support to help players perform at their peak.

What sets Clinch Boots apart is the science behind the design. Every element, from the lightweight structure to the advanced sole technology, has been developed to enhance movement, reduce fatigue, and improve stability during play. The result is a boot that doesn’t just look good but truly supports the athlete’s foot under pressure.

As a former Highett Podiatry employee, Ed Clinch, we are proud and excited to support the launch of Clinch Boots — a brand born from his passion for foot health and athletic performance. Combining podiatric insight with innovative design, Clinch Boots represents Ed’s commitment to helping players move better, play harder, and perform with confidence.

As we launch this exciting new chapter, we invite players, clubs, and the wider sporting community to experience the Clinch difference. With the combined strength of innovative design and podiatric knowledge, Clinch Boots aims to set a new standard in football performance.
