Daniel Mikhael

Allied Health Assistant

Daniel is a Podiatry Allied Health Assistant in the final stages of his podiatry degree and is excited to be joining the Highett Podiatry team as a qualified podiatrist next year. He has a strong interest in sports podiatry and musculoskeletal injuries and enjoys helping patients stay active and return to the activities they love.

Daniel has extensive experience as a sports trainer, working with both football and soccer clubs across Melbourne. He also has a background in footwear, having spent nearly three years at Active Feet, where he assisted in fitting performance and supportive footwear for people with a wide variety of foot types, injuries and activity levels. This experience has given him valuable insight into the important role that appropriate footwear plays in injury prevention, performance and rehabilitation.

A keen soccer player himself, Daniel currently competes at senior level in Melbourne, giving him a firsthand understanding of the physical demands placed on athletes and the importance of keeping feet and lower limbs healthy.

Until he graduates, Daniel works as a Podiatry Allied Health Assistant under the direction and supervision of Managing Director Kirstine Mann. In this role, he provides general foot care for patients with low-risk, stable foot health as part of a collaborative care model. Patients requiring assessment, diagnosis or management of more complex foot and lower limb conditions are reviewed by one of our podiatrists, ensuring every patient receives the appropriate level of care.

Committed to lifelong learning, Daniel regularly attends professional development seminars through the Australian Podiatry Association and Sports Medicine Australia to further develop his clinical knowledge and ensure he provides the highest standard of care to patients.

We are excited to welcome Daniel to our podiatry team upon his graduation next year. His enthusiasm, clinical knowledge, friendly nature and passion for helping others make him a valued member of the Highett Podiatry team, and we look forward to seeing him continue to grow as a clinician.
