Please note a referral is not required for private paying patients.
Referrals are required for Medicare EPC’s, TAC, Workcover, NDIS, Veterans’ Affairs and 3rd party Care Plans.

Is Podiatry bulk billed?
- At Highett Podiatry we don’t bulk bill podiatry, although we accept Medicare Care Plans that are eligible for a Medicare rebate.
- We can process your Medicare claim on the spot at your appointment.
- Your rebate should be in your account within 24 hours.
Can I get a medicare rebate?
- If you are referred by your GP under the “Enhanced Primary Care Program” you will be eligible for a Medicare rebate.
- We can, however, process your medicare claim on the spot at the time of your appointment.
- Your rebate should be in your account within 24 hours.
Is Podiatry covered by Private Health insurance?
- Most Private Health funds cover podiatry under their Extra’s cover.
- We have a Hicaps machine on site so you can conveniently claim your rebate at the time of your appointment. You must have your physical card with you, or have your digital card uploaded in your smartphone wallet.
Do podiatrists see NDIS patients?
- Yes
- At Highett Podiatry we see self managed NDIS patients.
Do podiatrists do home visits?
- Yes
- At Highett Podiatry we service a radius of 15km for home visit podiatry.
Can I claim podiatry and orthotics through Workcover?
- Yes with prior approval from your insurer
