Kate Monks

Podiatrist
  • Bachelor of Podiatry (University of South Australia)
  • Member of the Australian Podiatry Association (APodA)

Kate has recently joined the Highett Podiatry team. Kate moved to Melbourne 18 months ago from Adelaide, South Australia. She graduated from the University of South Australia in 2019 with a Bachelor of Podiatry. She has since worked in Adelaide across multiple clinics, including private practice, multi-disciplinary medical centres, working with children with disabilities and was involved in Paralympics Australia/SA Para athletics.

Kate possesses a vast knowledge of all aspects of Podiatry and is particularly interested in biomechanics and providing high-level care to various sports and paediatric patients.

Kate continually works to the best of her ability to achieve the best outcomes for her clients and constantly engages in continuing education to enhance her podiatric expertise.

Outside of work, Kate is very active and enjoys playing netball and going to the gym. She has also been involved in Pro-Athletic competitions, including the Stawell Gift and Bay Sheffield competitions.

Having had treatment for her own sports injuries, Kate is familiar with the rehabilitation process and the importance of building strength and conditioning to prevent reoccurrence. This, along with her ability to think laterally to get the correct diagnosis and prepare a treatment plan, makes Kate the ideal podiatrist to see for your foot and lower limb injuries.
