Sophie graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science in 2013 and completed her Masters in Podiatry Practice in 2016. Highett Podiatry was lucky to have Sophie join our team in 2017 as a new graduate podiatrist.  During her time with Highett Podiatry, her skill set has grown, with numerous extra training opportunities, qualifications and clinical experience in various settings.

In early 2022, Sophie became a director of Highett Podiatry and was integral in setting up our second practice in Mentone.

Sophie has also undertaken further training to attain her Scheduled Medicines Endorsement, allowing her to prescribe medications at the time of your consultation.  Sophie is also trained in the administration of ultrasound-guided cortisone injection therapy.

Extending her interest in years of classical and theatrical dancing, Sophie holds her classical teaching diploma from the Commonwealth Society of Teachers Dancing. Combining her passion with study, her knowledge of the demands of the body and lower limbs in dancers is highly valuable to our clinic.  Sophie also regularly shares her knowledge and expertise in dance medicine and dance podiatry with her fellow health practitioners and dance teachers by presenting seminars regularly around Australia.

You won’t see Sophie sitting down much outside of her podiatry work! Instead, she will be outdoors, camping, skiing, cycling or travelling the world in her spare time.
